Network Associate Intern
The “Network Associate” position is a customer-facing role. The Network Associate will be expected to work with our customers and internal support teams as part of the global service desk as well as perform field duties.
Managing Daily Operations
- Perform duties of global service desk
- Answer incoming client calls, exercise excellent customer service while creating tickets in accordance with each clients’ specific needs
- Address assigned tickets in a timely and professional matter (i.e. trouble shooting common network and TV related problems such as wireless connectivity and programming TV channels)

- Perform technical duties in the field
- Perform various contracting tasks as necessary to resolve tickets (punch downs, terminations, wire runs etc.)
- Perform various service installations (Dish, broadband, wireless, etc)
- Complete associated paperwork with each work order in a timely manner in order to ensure all details of the work are recorded.
- Properly operate and maintains installation tools and equipment.
- Engage in network/systems/server projects as assigned by the IT team.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to fulfill job function or as assigned.
Qualifications
- Familiar with many of these items: Windows Server 2008/2003/2000/SBS, VMWare, Cisco IOS, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, PHP, Terminal Services, routing and remote access solutions, firewalls, SQL, Microsoft Office, PCs and other common applications and security.
- The ability to learn quickly, work autonomously, and address any issue that arise
- Ability to multi-task and handle complex matters with minimal supervision and excellent follow up skills
- Available for weekend work and on-call escalated problems
- Candidate must live in Ann Arbor, MI or nearby cities
- Immediate availability preferred. Must be available to work 10-15 hours per week, max. 20 hours
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
